After my divorce, I faced criticism and was labeled a "loser" for moving into my grandma's house. Little did they know, I had big plans for it, and when I revealed the transformation, they were amazed! You can see their jaw-dropping reactions in this article!
Today's article focuses on a recently divorced woman who faced ridicule and judgment from others, especially when she chose to move into her inherited grandmother's house. Despite the mockery, she persevered.
Situated in a 19th-century building, the house required significant renovations. Despite its age, the new owner appreciated its interior and opted for minor adjustments, resulting in a refreshed and modern appearance for the apartment.
The transformation began with minor renovations, including expanding the first floor from 80 to 85 square meters. The goal was to create a spacious gathering area suitable for entertaining friends and family.
The wooden floor was retained, complemented by white-painted walls to create an illusion of spaciousness. New windows were installed, and a kitchen set with dark facades was positioned by the largest window.
The owner aimed for a modern interior while respecting the house's history. Hence, some of her grandmother's furniture was retained, and both the owner and designer opted to keep the brick walls to highlight the house's historical charm.
They chose to refurbish the staircase leading to the second floor due to its state of disrepair, incorporating storage drawers into its design. The second floor comprises three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The master bedroom once featured an antique fireplace that hadn't been functional for years. They opted to remove it and replace it with a storage system.
The master bedroom provides access to a French balcony, while the ground floor leads to the backyard, featuring a spacious barn, a vegetable garden, and recreational spaces.
