The latest pictures of Tom Selleck confirm what many of us suspected. Take a look at the comments!!!

Hollywood is where dreams are made, but only the most talented and fortunate manage to stay. The number of people who achieve lasting success there is very limited.

Few can boast a successful career in the film industry, but Tom Selleck is one of those rare celebrities who has graced our TV screens for many years.

Selleck's big break came when he was cast in the lead role as Thomas Magnum in "Magnum, P.I." This role brought him five Emmy Award nominations, winning one in 1985.

Before reaching stardom, Tom Selleck took on minor roles in films and series, appeared in numerous commercials, and made a couple of appearances on "The Dating Game." Reflecting on the game show, he recalled, “Humiliating and embarrassing. I lost. Twice. I wasn’t particularly funny or glib.” Selleck then joined 20th Century Fox’s talent program, spending about two years there before leaving for six months of active duty. Upon his return, he was dropped from the program, but this setback didn't break his spirit.

Selleck shared with AARP, “The luckiest thing that happened was that I didn’t get a real job until I was 35.” He explained, “When I was 25, I looked 35 but sounded 15. There are a lot of very good actors who make it as younger leading men but don’t graduate—because the audience won’t accept them as grown up.”

"Magnum P.I." came at a time when Tom Selleck was nearly ready to give up on his acting career. In an interview with Closer Weekly, he shared, “I think if Magnum hadn’t worked out, I’d never have worked again in this business.”

Since 2010, Tom Selleck has co-starred in the television series "Blue Bloods," playing Frank Reagan, the commissioner of the New York City Police Department. The show has been renewed for its 13th season.

Throughout his lengthy career, Selleck has performed most of his own stunts. However, this decision has taken a toll on his body.

“My back’s kind of messed up,” Selleck shared.

“When you do stunts in movies—and I do a lot of them—you’re taking a risk, but you’re also sitting around a lot," Selleck explained. "You might do a fight scene and then sit in your chair. It’s not like you have a personal trainer saying, ‘Okay, we’re ready to go, but Tom needs ten minutes of stretching and warm-up.’”

He added, “I see the price of all those stunts, not just in myself but in my peers. They weren’t that hard, but it’s the stop-and-go nature of it that takes a toll.”

The actor stays in shape by working on his ranch in Ventura, California. He is also very passionate about horses, a love he has passed down to his daughter.

Selleck has been married to his wife, Jillie Mack, for 35 years. One of the reasons their union is among the strongest in Hollywood is that he always puts his family first.

In a 2012 interview with People, Selleck said, "I quit Magnum to have a family. It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that."

"We both thought it was the best environment for Hannah to grow up,” his wife added.

Wishing Tom Selleck great health is a sentiment echoed by many of his fans and admirers.
